I just woke up from this dream a few minutes ago. I fell asleep at 5 am and it's 6 am right now (I fell asleep at 9 pm before, woke up at 2 am and then went to bed at 5). My twin brother was awake. I don't remember much from the dream, I am probably still processing it. The first thing in the dream I remember was that I was talking to my twin about weird stuff, I felt distressed while talking about the stuff for some reason. I don't even remember what we were talking about. I had inappropiate images appear in my mind, and it would get me turned on in some way. And then I was in a car with my siblings, my older brother was driving, well duh, he's the only one old enough. But he only visits us once a month and he already visited a week ago. We stop by the gas station and me and my twin brother go in the shop there. This little girl was in there and she was being very rude. She then pretended to cry, saying that me and my twin were the ones being mean. I got irritated to the point where I'm tearful, because that's what happens when I get very irritated, and started screaming at her calling her a little bitch. Her parents come over and they very quickly believe her despite her fake ass acting. I went from getting mad to terrified, constantly apologizing for being mean. I was begging for them not to do anything to me. My twin wasn't doing anything. He was just watching. Then, I had a false awakening. Me and my twin call dreams like this "a dream in a dream". It was darker than when I went to sleep, but I didn't care. I didn't let my twin know I woke up, and I hear a faint tune. The tune was the intro to "Ruler of Everything" by Tally Hall, well, at least in the music video. My twin was telling me that he posted a new YouTube video after he found out I woke up. I asked him if I was half asleep. He said no. But I told him "I'm talking in my mind", because i wasn't physically speaking. He told me that he was doing that too. I try to turn on my phone to see the video and it wouldn't turn on, but then I hear this tune coming from my phone. This tune was probably supposed to be a ringtone. But once I heard it, I immediately got distressed, like, IMMEDIATELY. I felt so scared as if I heard that song before in a dangerous situation. My phone starts vibrating and it shows someone is calling me. It says that someone called "the venting" was calling. It showed a map that located where they are from. I immediately started freaking out, I don't know why. I didn't even know who "the venting" was, but since I tend to get false memories in dreams, I "remembered" doing something online that had something to do with that name. The song was in the same melody as "Heigh ho" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. But it was different, it was just one guy singing, he had a slightly feminine and soothing (in a creepy way) voice. Instead of singing "Heigh ho", he was singing "Hello". I instantly realize it was a dream, and the first millisecond I realized that, I twitched my body to wake myself up. The thing is, that ending of the dream seemed familiar. That Heigh ho sounding song seemed familiar as hell. I feel like I heard that song before in dreams I had when I was younger, whenever a dangerous person was calling me. That's probably why I felt immediate distress.
Dreams can be complex and deeply personal, and their meaning can vary from person to person. However, I can offer some general interpretations based on the themes and emotions present in your dream.
The dream starts with you feeling distressed while talking about weird things with your twin brother. This could indicate some inner turmoil or concerns that you are experiencing but are unable to fully express or understand. The inappropriate images and feeling turned on may suggest a sense of guilt or shame related to certain thoughts or desires.
Next, you find yourself in a car with your siblings, including your older brother who doesn't visit often. This could symbolize the presence of external influences or aspects of your life that are not consistently present. The gas station represents a pause or break in your journey.
The encounter with the little girl who pretends to cry and accuses you and your twin brother of being mean may indicate feelings of powerlessness or injustice. You become tearful and apologize, possibly reflecting a fear of confrontation or a desire to avoid conflict.
The false awakening or "dream within a dream" is a common dream phenomenon. The darkness and the tune from "Ruler of Everything" may symbolize the presence of hidden emotions or unresolved issues. Your twin brother's YouTube video and the feeling of communicating in your mind suggest a strong connection between you and your twin. However, the distress and fear triggered by the song and the incoming phone call indicate that something from your past is causing you anxiety.
The familiarity of the Heigh ho-like song suggests a recurring theme or pattern that is associated with danger or fear. It is possible that there are unresolved emotions or trauma from your past that are resurfacing in your current life. The immediate distress you felt may be related to this unresolved issue.
Overall, this dream could be highlighting unresolved emotions, a desire to avoid conflict, and the presence of past trauma. It may be beneficial to explore these themes further, either through personal reflection or with the help of a therapist, to gain a deeper understanding of their significance in your life.
